I am in a dilemma. My Sempron system is heating up quite a bit. I was suggested by my vendor to replace the thermal pad but he didn't know which one is good as none of his customers have ever demanded one. I wonder which one is better - pad / grease? I couldn't find AMD recommended thermal pads / greases. Also, I don't know which thermal pads / greases do we get in Mumbai. Can someone tell me where could I get these thermal pads / greases and which company do you recommend?

Do you live far away from lamington road? Anyway, whenever you make a trip there, look into the general shops and ask for a small bottle of heatsink compound. :)

Just a heat sink compound? No specific brand? I have heard about arctic silver but I am not sure whether we get it here... I would prefer a thermal pad to the compound since compounds/pastes are supposed to be for a short term use only.
