You'll be disappointed to know that you cannot do that with your hotmail, and AFAIK, rediff accounts. Your service providers don't offer that facility.

<OT> Some people are asking whether all yahoo.com email addresses have been taken. :) I'll take this opportunity to tell people how to get a .com email address from yahoo mail. Simply select your language and content as "English - United States", and NOT "English - India" (that gives you a .co.in address). You can change that info anytime after having registered.
POP access gets disabled for non-US content; whether you have a .com or .co.in doesn't matter. </OT>

Content, for the most part, means all the ads. Also, your weather report, stocks, sports and other news. If you choose Indian content, POP access gets disabled.

Sure it's possible. Just set the pop3/kpop/apop/imap server for hotmail/rediffmail in your fetchmailrc file. Put your username and password, and everything just like for your yahoo account.
The only catch though, is that neither of these vendors provide this service. What you can do, is, convince hotmail and rediffmail to set up pop3/kpop/apop/imap servers. Then you can download mail from there.
Alternately, use gotmail to download your hotmail. Write something similar for rediffmail.

The only problem with things like gotmail etc is that hotmail keeps changing its look and feel and auth procedure.
So it may work for a few months and then fail. BTW, I havent used gotmail, but used something similar.
A good project to work on would be to write an AI enabled client that converts html based e-mail services to a pop3 service.

For fetching mail from hotmail account you can use `gotmail' search on google. I don't know about rediffmail. I think they donot provide such a fascility.
