Hi all, i have got a server having a 40 GB seagate Harddisk. When i tried to install Red Hat 7.2/8.0 on it , it got stuck at the time of partitioning. it display this error:- "an error has occurred-no valid devices were found on which to create new filesystems. Please check your hardware for the cause of this problem". As i think it will due to that this fresh machine doesn't have SCSi Dreiver. Can anybody help me.
Thanks in advance Punit Chaturvedi

Your server probably has an OEM tool for 'activating' the hard disks - once you configure your disks through this tool, your installation should work fine. Look for messages during boot for configuring your SCSI adapter..For example, it might say "Press F6 to setup your NetRAID Adapter" on an HP box....
HTH, kishor
