Dear Mitul, Thanks for your concern. Yes its unfortunate that the license scheme for cyber cafe in Mumbai has been a contentious issue. The cost for license is very high so many can't afford it . so either they will go out of business or go underground. either way it is the loss of Mumbaikers who depend on Internet cafes and the enforcement department in tracking down the grey cyber cafes . It will unintentionally criminalise many. The way out may be if the cyber cafe operators are exposed alternative option in software which fits their budget. atleast they will have a choice. Here FOSS advocates to have a role to make others aware that they do exist. Internet Cafes can be a big partner do remember 40% of Indian netizens depend on Cyber cafe . & just less than 5% of Indians are aware of Internet.
cheers & best wishes
