http://www.hbcse.tifr.res.in/Data/ObjectType/c/contact/viewObjectType&sa... Quite a long url so it might get cut. In that case you can do a google search on HBCSE and in the first result go to Contact and Location. And here's a reply from archives on the same question http://mm.ilug-bom.org.in/pipermail/linuxers/Week-of-Mon-20021104/006987.htm...

11th is "Bhau beej". so travelling in the evening will be a PITA. Otoh everyone can come with mom's "farali". Besides we have never had a festive meet.

You may want to get on a bus to Anushaktinagar Bus depot. HBCSE campus is right next to the bus depot. From andheri, bus number 374Ltd might be suitable.

355Ltd. It'll take a long time. Better option is to take a train to wadala. From there cross over to harbour line. You've got trains to panvel with a frequency of 4 minutes. Get down on platform no.1 @ mankhurd. Exit the station. Walk straight. Take a right. Bang! HBCSE :P
Whee. This is going to be fun. I'm looking forward to attending this. :-)

this option is best i think... on that day i'll be in khar so this will be easier for me to reach there on time.

You could pretty easily get to Kurla via Bandra and board a train for Panvel right there on the harbor line as well. This will prove a lot quicker. ;-)

And if you're lucky, you'll get a Vashi bound local (VA); much less crowded! ;o)

Watch out for the MEGABLOCK. It's the railway monster that eats trains on Sundays and holidays. It's rampant on the harbour section.

Oh yeah! i've been bitten by this monster more than once.. :D How could i forget to mention. Those coming by train, the trains on Harbor lines ( esp those reaching or passing Mankhurd ) are shut down for maintenance almost invariably on all Sundays between 11AM and 4PM! Good luck!
