Thanks Arun, for suggesting puppy. It rocks. Now there is one XP machine with canon printer. I wish to use this printer from puppy machine. Any idea how to go ahead...... Do I need CUPS?

Glad that Puppy Linux worked out for you. As for the printer you will need CUPS and point it to the smb:// URI to your Windows XP machine.
Yes, hopefully I will be able to expand puppy. I did not find much documentation on the net for puppy. Regarding printer, Do I need CUPS to run on puppy machine? Can the printer be shared by SAMBA?
