Hi All,
I was planning to deploy an answering machine software in the office this week.
Has anyone on the list done this before and would care to make any suggestions / recommendations on which is good / bad and why?
Looking at the various packages available I was considering mgetty... I'm using Debian GNU/Linux.

Rishi

I read an Howto in ilug-hyd site for setting any answering machine. May be this will help
http://ilug-hyd.org.in/lamhowto.html
PS: Can we have such FAQ/Howto (list specific compiled and published in the ilug-bom web site ) Any volunteers?

And there's always the TLDP.

in fact, we have planned for maintaining a compilation of all the question and answers in the form of an FAQ list at this group's homepage... It just needs some time to be worked upon...
anyone wanting to join me, can contact Nagarjun.

This plan has been around since 2001 IIRC, and several people have started and given up. I wish you luck.

no time, but you could use the site search engine to get a listing of all the answers to a given question.
