I ve asked about it in the list with a patch - http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=5ef2113c0907112051k5f334c82pa75f19cb85da32f7%40mail.gmail.com&forum_name=w-meter-devel but no one responded, which gave a bad impression about the devels, so I stopped.

as far as I know they were thrilled about your patch and implemented it. They were also happy to know that you would like to contribute. This is their first experience of an open source release, so please be a little tolerant.
