Are you buying it in India or getting it from US?

A quick check on Dell's US website shows that only Vostro, Latitude models are available with FreeDOS/Linux. In India, I believe you can get the Vostro line with Ubuntu and Inspirons (3rd party retailers) with FreeDOS.

No such offer on the XPS line to the best of my knowledge.

AFAIK, you can't get XPS without Windows. I asked their sales representative that I don't want windows, but he said they don't sale XPS without Windows pre-installed. :(
