Needed some help on Qmail & surprisingly I didnot find any answers to this in the Archives....
1. How to safely Delete (empty) all qmail queues. 2. Any Simple console / graphic based Qmail log analyzer... to report # of Message sent / deffered / time etc... 3. Can someone help me write a script which does the following (or redirect me to some URL ).... (a) Available an email list in MySql (b) Write a script which will pickup one email at a time from MySql & sends a mail using the "MAIL" command... till end of DB. mail -s "SUBJECT HERE" email_from_mysql < message_text This is required to work in conjunction with Qmail. Simple, short & sweet.

[snip] i think therz a way of purgin the mail q's. Check the binaries in the qmail/bin dir. I am on a winCE m/c.....without ssh life suckz...:(

[snip] so wat essentially ur sayin is that...all mailz from qmailz queue get written to the MySQL db. Then another scripts picks up the mailz 1 by 1 nd sends them out...... hmmm. Seems possible, but never worked on such a setup. Infact this is so interestin i would like to get i done myself. I suggest u hav a look @ www.freshmeat.net and www.sourceforge.net, therz plethora of s/w available there.
Check it out nd then lemme know.

Use qmHandle program. Search for it in qmail.org or google for it.

A number of Qmail log analyzers are available. Again google for it. I remember using at least one. Again google for it.

Dear Ashok,
I have tried qmHandle, but I found it very slow in deleteing the queue. I have searched google also, but could not locate anything really good.
I remember seeing a 3 line shell script, which did a very good job and very fast, but now i forgot where I saw it....
I tried deleting all files & folders in /var/qmail/control/todo & intd but it messed-up qmail totally, anyways that was a desperate attempt of cleaning.
any other suggestions ??/

Thx mitul, But qmail-remove, does not delete the mails, rather it just stores them in a different location, which means that one has to again do something to remove them. Any other suggestions...
