hi, i've some xeon machines with 2 nics. i want to explore, is it possible to use one nic to send data and other to recieve. i guess this should be possible with iptables.

Maybe, but you'd run into all kinds of ARP madness, and it wouldn't be terribly efficient. What you want is port trunking (or "bonding" in LINUX speak).
