PC configuration : P4 3.06GHz with 915 intel original motherboard of 102GCc type with 512MB RAM and 80GB SATA hard disk
I'm trying to install Red Hat Linux 9.0
when Im inserting the bootable linux cd i get this warning..... "no hard drives have been found.You probably need to manually choose device drivers for the installation to succeed.Would u like to select drivers now? YES NO
if YES then it goes into asking for the driver if NO then it goes on with linux installation aftr selection of mouse it asks for manually or automatic partition to which i select manually with disk druid to which i get the warning as "An error has occured-----no valid devices were found on which to create new file systems.Please check your hardware for the cause of this problem..." AFAIK, RH9 does not have SATA support. Try using a more up to date distro like FC5.
