Q. What is the use of the Subject line in an email?
subject is an optional tag which you may use to give additional info about the email. so if yu will be kind enough to answer my question mr philip or any one else.

I don't think it's optional. Imagine going through a _HUGE_ number of mail in your mailbox when someone wants to locate your mail. If it was optional (and hence undesirable for some ppl) most webmail clients would not show you the subject line. *Please* include a subject in your next mail.

aaaaaaarrrhhhh. wrong answer. subject is not optional. we sort messages based on subject, we read messages based on subject. we only answer messages that we read.
