Actually, i'm staying in Nashik but none of the Linux people around here have any clue about SMP.
Can anyone suggest where i can purchase a dual-processor (P-III 500Mhz is fine) ATX motherboard with minimal heat emission?
Thanks!!

[snip] AFAIK, bbay has someplae called lamington where u could get loads of stuff to satisfy that geek inside u. Else, i am clueless.....
As far as the SMP support goes, i am pretty sure for most high end Intel boards(those intel rack mountable cpu's) that i worked with, the smp support was automatically taken by the kernel without user intervention.

Uh, Mumbai is too big. Which rail station is nearby? Is it easy to find computer hardware shops?

I am using Intel PIII GX Mother board with two processors. That was more than a year. Intel site may have some more details on the recent boards.
