You must be a verry patient guy.
While touching wood, I must say that my epson lx 800 bought in 1990 is still running strong. ofcourse very minor servicing and repairs were involved, but insignificantly minor.
Has anyone an older printer still in service? which model? and have you spent a lot on it servicing?
Citoh 132 col purchased 2nd hand in 1990 was last working in 2000. Havent tried it since. I think mfg date was 1987. No service other than oiling the head shaft. And epson fx1170 1994. Very heavy use. Self service for cleaning stationery punchouts and oiling the head shaft. I also have an Epson laptop (no jokes) - z80 with 64k ram and 320 x 128 lcd and 32k plugin rom. It has serial, parallel, micro printer and cpm + basic in rom. 1985 vintage purchased in akhiabara for $400. Will check if it still works today.
