Dear All,
we have 10 pop accounts, in an organisation there are 40 persons, who wants to use email accounts. HOw is it possible to get mails for the rest of the persons (30 persons) without increasing the pop accounts?
How do we use aliases here... or any settings in fetchmail....?
Kindly explain. Regards, Raman.

See the multidrop documentation in fetchmail(1). Also remember that this is a bad idea.

use forwarders - most providers give unlimited forwarders. Create a general pop account called say 'mygeneral'. Then create any number of forwarders called say 'abc' and configure it to forward all mail to 'mygeneral'. use fetchmail to download and distribute from 'mygeneral' to 'abc' etc on the local box. 'abc' will be avalid internet id and can be used to send and receive mail - only thing, abc cannot have webmail and cannot use pop to fetchmails directly. reserve the other 9 pop accounts for the suits who need their own pop boxes and webmail. If you need the fetchmail and postfix settings, i can help you out there.
