Hey linuxers, How do I set up Pine so that the recipient's mail client displays the from header as "From: Chrisil" ? Although I am using a role with "Set From: Chrisil ajjoseph@powersurfer.net", the from header in the recipient's client appears as "From: ajjoseph@powersurfer.net". Even while composing Pine displays the header "From: Chrisil ajjoseph@powersurfer.net". Also I need to send mail through my ISP's SMTP server using Mutt. For this I need to setup sendmail(Is this called relay??). How can I configure sendmail for this. I have no experience configuring sendmail.
Please help. Chrisil.

Check out Suresh R.'s howtos at http://www.hserus.net. Sendmail, Postfix and Exim configurations available for dialup. (BTW, if you think sendmail is a mess, use Postfix/Qmail/Exim). More secure, and far easier to configure.

This is an old problem with Powersurfer. The guys running that ISP seem to be illiterates, so you'll have to work hard to explain to them why you need that. I am sure you're using hapdc.powersurfer.net as your SMTP server.
By the way, your subject line was not very helpful. ``Pine'' doesn't make any sense to me!
