Hello E'body, I tried out what Mr.Amitay and Mr.Mitul told, but it didnt work out. plz help me.
The problem is:
My Linux(RedHat 7.1) machine is in a lan with windows(2000) machines. I'm able to ping from my Linux machine to others and viceversa. when I say http://localhost/ or http://ip (actual ip of linux machine) its giving me the test page properly. But when I use http://ip (actual ip of linux machine) on any of the windows machines it says 'page not found'
please tell me how do I go about this. shud I configure apache?
Thanks in Advance

1. On windows m/c, do you have iis installed and activated ? 2. Do you have firewall software on the windows m/c ? 3. do you get anything when you give http://ip/ for a windows m/c from another windows m/c

can u ping that machine? check if there is some proxy setting in ur windows machime's browser(if the machines on ur lan share an Internet connection there most probably will be) if not check whether u r running a firewall (other than ip chains)

Hey,
Physically check if your network chord is plugged properly ... also check if you are on the same logical network...
try doing a nmap ipaddress

Try "allow from all" in the settings for public_html in httpd.conf
