The reason, I have recommended this book for C/C++ programmers (or beginners) is because, one actually *_learns_* from it. You don't just /read/ it.

Sure, there aren't many Java fans or for that matter programmers interested in Java on the list, but would be helpful for one or two. After all, if you know OO, learning OO languages isn't too /difficult/.
