Hello everybody, If i have a dual booting system.ie windows and linux.and i start linux on my pc. Then i write a program and save it as say xyz.c . Now i start windows and want to access the file xyz.c . Is it possible? One way is to use internet and mail it from linux to my email account in say yahoo and read it in windows. Yes, you can create a partition which is formatted with FAT filesystem and mount it under Linux. You can also access an existing windows parition this way. Then store all your files in this directory. After that they can be accessed by either operating system.
You can put the right entries in /etc/fstab and then let this happen automatically at boot.

This would not work. The utility allows you to access the linux parition but this access is not transparent and you need to manually save each file before you can use it.

U can access ur files by mounting ur windows drive in linux
Just open ur /etc/fstab file and
add :- remember hda6 is the drive name of windows ,so check ur drives in hardware browser.
/dev/hda6 /mnt/WinC vfat defaults 0 0 0
ok

you'll either have to mount your windows partition under linex or you can use tools like explore2fs. if you want i can mail it to you.
