Hi,
I have 40 servers to install OpenSuse10.2. All have same hardware configuration. I have installed OpenSuse on one of the server and I have customized the kernel as per my requirement. Now if I install OpenSuse as it is on other servers I have to customize kernel on all servers after installation. Can I put my customized kernel into Installation CD/DVD itself ? So that when I will install that New OpenSuse, by default it will install customized kernel.
Please help.

Kickstart is the utility to clone machines based on the sample machine's settings.

But, he will still need to make the changes on the first install, isn't it?

He has already setup a sample computer. He wants to replicate the process. So after the sample pc is up, he creates a kickstart file and loads it into a floppy or pen drive as per the systems' capabilities. Then he boots the raw system through the network and enters boot parameters for network install and use of the kickstart file. I forgot the exact commands but we had done it in RHEL 3. The system will then prompt him to load the file at the appropriate time during install. After that it is a fully automated installation.

Try G4L http://sourceforge.net/projects/g4l
This will allow you to clone harddrives from the sample machine.

There's Reconstructor ( http://reconstructor.aperantis.com/ ) but it uses Ubuntu as the base.
