Hi, Some sites which I felt fit the bill for being in the hall of shame.
Internet Banking doesn't work(shows a Security Error!,LOL) when used with FF but works perfectly with IE.Plus there is a declared statement at the bottom of every page:"Works best with IE 5.5 or better"
Same statement as above is present at the bottom of very page.
Not exactly a Hall of Shame candidate in terms of F/OSS,but the majority of the links are broken. The feedback email links are also broken.God knows how tourism is booming in India.

I totally agree with you on this matter! At first I thought something was really wrong but I couldn't place it. So I mailed their webmaster and he told me to use IE. I even tried using IE on Linux but it didn't work out for me. Such a shame.. Even the flash content on the site crashed on my FF.

Well for this site, except for the statement at the bottom of the page I couldn't see anything wrong. Works fine. :)

Hmm... couldn't find it though. But as long as everything is working properly, I don't care. :)

Hmm,I remember some problems while trying to book a e-ticket,but the exact bug doesn't come to mind.Well, the statement at the bottom is damning enough.
Works perfectly with me and my clients on konqueror and iceweasel / FF
Some personal bad blood between Gnome and IRCTC? ;)

I don't share the "don't care" attitude,it's due to this stupid "chalta hai" attitude that everyone is looting us blind(prime example:politicians)

I have done online bookings using firefox in Linux and ITZ Cash. However at one time I completed a transaction and the IRCTC server hung up on me ( no connection whatsoever with linux ), in such a way that ITZ transferred funds out of my account but IRCTC hung and did not record the transaction, so my amount got lost in cyberspace. Surprisingly after sending IRCTC an email, they responded with an acknowledgment and my funds were returned back to the ITZ account.

LOL.
Another site would be Bank Of Baroda [1] Check their I-Banking page, it requires you to have MS-JVM [3] installed, thus eliminating all non-windows users.

I was trying to use ICICI Bank inet banking yesterday. In Firefox, after login, I got page expiry errors repeatedly. The site worked in IE almost properly, which means some links still resulted into expired pages.
Could we have a reference site for Linux compatible websites and then post links of that in our signatures so that they spread across the net. There can be different categories for services and products marketed in India and they could be given star ratings based on their compatibility level with GNU. Indian GNU/Linux users can post their experiences and rate the products and services on that site.

Weird. Either I've never had this issue or I've failed to notice it. As it is, I have been using the site with konqueror for ages and it has worked perfectly fine... though haven't been there in a while.
Oh and I let the browser identify itself normally.
