Hi all,
I've just switched from KDE to Windowmaker as my defualt windowmanager. Excellent windowmanager. I face only one problem. I'm not being able to set event based sounds in the Wmaker, similar to what we get in KDE and Windows. There was a button for sounds in wmakerprefs, but I still do not hear any sound.
Any idea abt this?

You need to have installed a seperate package for event sounds. I think it is something called WMSoundPref or something like that. Search the home page, you'd find links and other details for it.
