Venue is not yet decided, please come forward and let me know if a venue you can arrange for is available. Virar is very far for most of us, Bandra - MET or IIT - Powai is what I would like to arrange.
MET is my choice, though I live next to IIT. I think the MET LUG meet in April was among the best I have attended.

Maybe :-) This time, Red Hat is willing to distribute FC 2 CDs to those who attend. Will confirm if the CDs can be cut in time for this meet in the next couple of days. Getting into the KReSIT building at IIT (where he last LUG meet was held) on a Sunday is like penetrating a fortress. Poor Ivan Bayross who is one of the speakers, had no idea of how to get in. Luckily I saw him and asked him to go through the basement parking lot because all the fancy glass doors of KReSIT are closed on Sundays. Definitely not the way to make a speaker feel welcome. Plus, MET is accessible to most people. But I wish these things are planned at least two weeks in advance.

IIT is fun, I hope Ivan also finally enjoyed speaking at KReSIT. I have lost the contact details of Mr. Prashant Kulkarni, can someone give me his contact details. We would like to have the meeting at MET this time.
If I remember right, the LUG meets are supposed to be held on the Second Sunday of every month. Is that correct? For August, the date would be August 9th. Let's try and work towards this date in advance. One thing I would like to see is meetings that begin and end on time, not drag on like a casette tape gone bad. can try and get speakers from industry (Rajesh Jain of Netcore, Javed Tapia of Red Hat etc) but to get people like them, dates and venue need to be fixed in advance. I wouldn't mind doing it at MET again, unless someone comes up with a better choice.
