True... We somehow collectively always reach wrong conclusions and policies. I have seen many so called educated, inteligent and savvy people demanding dictatorship, army rule and emergency! Can you believe that?
I am educated, intelligent and savvy and demand dictatorship, army rule, and emergency! :-( It's lot better than ruled by bunch of jokers....
I empathetic to your anguish and frustration with the existing system. And those "jokers" are elected represantatives of you. You may have either directly elected them by voting for them or indirectly elected them by NOT VOTING for them. Let us start by owning our own responsibility.
But then how it's related to Linux , except FREEDOM ;-)
Yes, though it is OT, we users of Free Software and Technology also WANT and NEED Freedom in other areas of our life too. Discussing this on this or any other technology related mailing list is not totally irrelevant. Slashdot also has sections for Politics and YRO too!
I have changed the subject line but kept the thread as is.

There is a substantially more direct link. A PIL has been filed to ban google maps, wkimapia etc. Using dumb args. first it was ban the blogs. Now its ban the google. Next ban the internet. There is already a ban the news thing going on. Bans seem to be getting closer n closer to home. Very soon we will be banned form talking about bans.
