hi when i tried to install IE6 using Wine(windows Emulator) it just asks for n/w proxy for installation and then tried to connect to somesite for further download and could not download anything so quits. any guess or fundaes highly appreciated.

IE or wine ask for proxy? Check if it can support authenticated proxy..
