This site and your post none of them relate to Linux, so I would advise you to refrain from posting them on the list.
Also look at the Tags in Subject, this is exactly what you have to do when you do a commercial or Off-topic posting (in this case its completely IRRELEVANT Post, so to list admin, such posts should go to /dev/null before getting posted to list)

And how exactly would mailman understand which commercial post should be discarded and which should be delivered?

I believe that first time posts from anyone gets moderated manually before it posts to the list, atleast that was the case when I had posted long long ago :)

That is right. But amitflu happens to be an old user, and was not under any kind of moderation. Now he is.

He might be building it on LAMP ... in which case it might be related, but our list just likes to go off on a tangent evertime. The shaving cream thread for a freat example. Shouldn't we be helping enterpruners buy showing them the benifits of foss instead of slamming them.

The shaving cream thread was sarcasm targetting the increasing number of completely OT threads.
Nothing in the OP here was related to FOSS in any way. If you can build a relation like that, one may claim that the shaving cream thread is not OT since the store I buy my shaving cream from runs Linux ;)
Shouldn't we be helping enterpruners buy showing them the benifits of foss instead of slamming them.
</snip> Good entrepreneurs can see the benefits of FOSS by themselves since they would do enough research before jumping in.

Showing enterpreneurs the benefits of FOSS is one thing. Giving them a business plan is another.
