I am not a "dc" expert, but a closer look revealed that 65 -> A, 80 -> P, 82 -> R, ... and so on... :-)
Thus, for the message you need only the following: echo '65P80P82P73P76P32P70P79P79P76P10P' | dc

when i tried it out i get the following error.
[monil monil]$ echo '82 43/25 43+65P80P82P73P76P32P70P79P79P76P10P' | dc bash: dc: command not found
Can you suggest me a remedy for the same ?

install bc It may be on ur linux cd-rom or u can download it from www.rpmfind.net
