Hi All,
FYI
Remarkable improvements in server performance!
http://www.zdnet.com/products/stories/reviews/0,4161,2776396,00.html
Apache 1.3.19 running on a Red Hat Linux 7.1 system upgraded to the 2.4.5 kernel was able to process at peak throughput 4,602 Web requests per second.
the best score Apache on Linux had was 1,842 requests per second (remember, in our retest, Linux and Apache settings were directly tuned by Red Hat engineers). That test was with Apache 1.3.6 on a Linux 2.2.10 kernel
Best Regards,

There's a post on Slashdot today that talks about RedHat's Tux 2.0 server doing (IIRC) 12000+ requests per second.
