need to connect my cell (nokia 6610) to a toshiba laptop (satellite 2590cdt) got all the docs... gnokii, gprs scripts.. blah.. blah .. blah... && read thru all the docs...

got the driver loaded "donauboe" (toshibsa) irDA.. detected irDA, irattach connect ircomm (as stated in syslog)

problem... i get no discover... How do i know if my hardware itself is working (and Please do not suggest i test under wiNz... b/c I WONT!)

also... has anyone used the usb / serial cable connection for nokia under GNU /Linux ? and if so .. does it work.. if it doesnt... what are the error messages.. can something be patched together..

though thru' to google says all ok
