I don't know about IMAP, but what is that comma and that semicolon doing there? Is it allowed in .fetchmailrc?
Sometime on Nov 15, Satya assembled some asciibets to say:
poll imap.satyam.net.in with proto imap: user my_login, with password mypasswd,is sachin here;
I don't know about IMAP, but what is that comma and that semicolon doing there? Is it allowed in .fetchmailrc?
Yes. Fetchmail ignores all punctuation marks, and punctuation words. Basically, it ignores the words 'there', 'here', 'with', 'is', etc. I think it is in the man page, but it may be in some other documentation.
Philip
It must be ,cause I've used it for accessing POP servers and they work fine. The man page for fetchmail says that in .fetchmailrc fetchmail searches only for its reserve words like "user" "pass" "is" etc .Rest are all ignored .
