JFYI, SuSE is about to release this "vista-killer".

Seems to be a great distro and somewhat better than Ubuntu Dapper Drake...

Are you referring to SLED 10 RC3 as beta?

I am using GMC (Gold Master Copy)...
You must be referring to OpenSUSE 10.1. SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktophas not been released yet.

but Golden Master copy released on last friday morning (US timeline). I got the chance to get it and to use it. Please let me know, if you have some other doubt.

How did you get hold of a GM copy of SLED10? At download.novell.com, SLED10 still shows RC3.

That's a different story, I could share GM copy with you if I was in India.
But overall rating from my side to SLED10 is still high..it's a good product. Good job done by Novell folks....

Thanks for the offer but since it is a commercial product I'll buy a copy after my own evaluation of RC3.
With OpenSuse 10.1, I have run into a couple of install problems and reported them as bugs. I hope they have been fixed in SLED 10.

A few other webzine reviews of SLED10 have given similar opinion(s).
