So there's a router separating the private network from the internet. I've got a Linux box (gort) and a Windows box (wintermutex) and others (all Windows, none important) on the private network.
The router's a Linksys BEFSR81 (I think that's the model number) (8 port). It has a web-based password protected only-from-the-inside configuration. All the Windows boxes, including wintermutex, can access this page. Trying to get there from gort doesn't work -- it's like the port is closed.
nmap says the port *is* closed. telnet router 80 yields an unable to connect.
*Everything* else works as it should.
What could be wrong?
