I tried compiling again and am getting the f= ollowing probs :

binutils 2.10.1 configured and installed corr= ectly and smoothly

gcc 2.95.3 configured and installed correct= ly

The following are the dependencies of glibc-2.2.3 as specif= ied its INSTALL directory :
