Hi Guys,
I am thinking of installing Linux on all the computers/terminals in my office and also star office (or any such GUI similar to Word / Excel). Now we are using Win98 & MS office.
I would like to know what are the licences that i will have to purchase. Can i install Linux from my chip cd / PCQ cd which i have with me. Will i have to purchase a cd for my co as well as my sister co.
AS of now i am using linux installed from PCQ cd on my terminal and on my proxy, mail server.
Also, I need some advice for the programs that i will need to replace my mail client, browser, etc, how to use foxpro under linux, etc.
Thanks in advance.

Best is not to disturb things. Let there be Win98 and MS Office if people are used to it, unless you have very good reasons. People are bound to lose productivity initially when switching to a new environment. Don't force people to use your favourite software.

You can obtain one copy of Linux and install it on as many boxen as you wish. Every installed copy is licenced seperately. This is automagic, so you don't need to bother. Just make sure you don't (un)knowingly violate the licenses (read the licence document).

Mail Client: Pine, Mutt, KMail (for KDE). Web Browser: Lynx, Netscape (uughh), Opera. Foxpro: :-/
