Ive been a = member of this GLUG for the past four years. And in these 4 years Ive se= en that this user group has actively expanded and scaled in all the zones o= f this city. Ive just passed out from K.J. Somaiya college of Engineerin= g (BE in ComSci Engg).
Now, Id like the juniors of my colle= ge to receive the same experience-guidance from this user group as myself (= Ive been fortunate to join this group in my 1st year itself). Hence I= d like to request the group moderators and active members to conduct a FLOS= S seminar for student enlightment at K.J. Somaiya College of IT at Sion. I= d like to request Prof. Nagarjuna, Mr. Trevor Warren, Mr. Devdas Bhagat,= Mr. Venkatesh Hariharan and others to grace the occasion by their presence= and deliver motivating talks on FLOSS on the same lines as we have in the = monthly meets.
Ive discussed this matter with the college = principal Prof. Kumthekar and she is ready to co-operate and help in all po= ssible ways. Prof. Nagarjuna and others who wish to talk can directly conta ct her or myself at the below mentioned nos. I wish this event takes off an= d spreads the goodwill of free software to all the engineering students of = Somaiya College.

In readable text format please? When would you want to do this seminar? I will probably be scheduling a trip to Mumbai this month end or thereabouts.

I havent seen the previous messages in this thread. I want to know the date and duration. My suggestion is that a seminar of even half a day is useless. This is my experience. It is better to keep it as a 6hour workshop, which means a full day event.
