Hi guys,
I am writing to you about Shunya( http://shunya.in ), a slashdot like effort, but this time India centric. I started shunya.in when slashdot rejected a story I submitted, as the story was not US centric.
Shunya.in is different from slashdot in two ways a) shunya is India centric and b) shunya allows users to register their adsense account with shunya, shunya then displays ads from users adsense accounts next to stories submitted by them. This allows users to earn money while contributing stories to shunya.

i can see why they might have rejected... the top story at the site is

Can't you make something new? I mean c'mon aping something that is already there without *improving* it is worthless. Nevertheless a good attempt. I agree with other poster regarding the quality of stories...the quality surely is "Shunya" ;)
