Is there anyone who recommend me any biometric device for designing fingerprint based attendance recording system? I want to go for hardware only and software will be designed inhouse because all parties are selling windows based software which can be operated from one machine. I want to design it in PHP/MYSQL (i.e browser based) can be operated from anywhere. I need only device and import/export data software. I had some demo but dealers are quite confused to give it to Linux system. They recommend me to export data through windows system which I don't need. Data import/export should be automated by shell script. Any recommendation for device and dealers will be highly appreciated.
