dear all, just installed mandrake 10. have copied all my old MS word files and email msgs from outlook express onto a cd which i want to save in openoffice format. but my cd drive is unable to read the cd. pl help shiv kumar

You don't have any other copy of those files?
Can the CD be read on any other box? Another OS? Another drive? Anything?
What is the error message?
is it mounted at boot time ? othervise you have to mount it manually
