How would vnc server work if i dont have xserver in linux box?? i jst have comand line interface in linux.. is that suffice?

th think u meant a vnc server on linux, and vnc client in windows . yes, vnc is fully cross platform. and vnc server can be accesed by any vnc client, as long as they are similar versions. Like i said earlier, u doo not need to install any X server for that. you just need to install the x-libs+x-fonts package and probably a window manager, like twm.

You would have to install and run the vncserver package. Hint: Google is your friend.
