Hello GNU/Linux lovers,
I am stuck with an Motorola SM56 internal modem, which works as a charm in windows. However my Redhat 8.0 system does not seem to detect it. Any clues...
Internal Modems are software driven modems.. The modem is shipped with the software for windows.. Similar drivers for linux can be found here http://www.linmodems.org/ regards lilo

Hello Jayesh, good-morning.
The manufacturers have a driver supplied for some earlier versions of RH. Namely 7.2./ 7.1
Anything else and you may be in a fix. Give sourceforge a shot and figure out if there are any open sources drivers available(Which i doubt..:)).
Bye for now.
