Hi folks,
I'm planning to upgrade my m/c's RAM. At present it's 64MB and I plan to add another 128 MB. At present the Swap partition is of 180 MB (It's too big for current RAM, but I had this upgradation in mind) Basically I'm planning to run some heavy apps in Windows, hence the upgradation. After the upgrade, the size of the RAM and that of Swap will be almost equilvalent. Will that do? or repartitioning is unavoidable?
And one more thing. Will there be any need for recomfiguring any part of the system after the upgrade?
TIA,
Warm Regards, $ sonpal -kj

No need to repartition ... in fact, on my home PC, the RAM is slightly more than the swap partition! The idea of swap = twice the RAM is more of a concern for the people with big servers ...
