hi, whenever i try the OS detection option of nmap, i get this message : sendto in send_tcp_raw: sendto(3, packet, 60, 0, ipaddr, 16) => Operation not permitted
(where "ipaddr" is the target's ip address). The message repeats three times. naturally, nmap isnt detecting any OSes as of now. any ideas what the problem is?This happend on RH7.1...
regards, kishor

"Operation not permitted" suggests some privilege problems. Just to confirm - are you running it as root?
