What man! There are no viruses, system is stable, no crashes, GNU/Linux is working fine. No one has any problem.
Actually, I always miss the point of having Linux once everything is working satisfactorily. I think, what next.
Then they upgrade.

Exactly. Sometimes I don't find anything to "configure" in Linux and it gives frustration. :P

Actually I take updates which I like and with distros like Ubuntu configuration is hardly any problem.

GNU/Linux sucks. Everything works, and it is sooo boring. To relieve the ennui i downloaded kubuntu9.10. and tried it out live. It was good. Having already installed ubuntu9.10 amd64, I found kubuntu with kde4 to be much better. I must confess i have an unknown aversion to gnome desktops.
I will do an install today on an ASUS M4A78-EM/1394. Will see how the nvidia closed drivers perform. Before people jump to conclude i have switched to the darkside, i will be removing the drivers, as the xorg drivers work just fine.

Again soooo boring, no hickup no broken packages so that the windows fans can point fingers.

Yes again very boring. why does this work so well? Why we don't have bad points to debain on whether it is a bug or a feature?
Happy hacking. Krishnakant.
So let us conclude with this:
1. Everything works in Linux 2. There are no major problems 3. It gets boring till they upgrade the distribution, which is no big deal because that happens every six months. Ping.

Every thing except some things which are not used by even 10% of the world's computer users.

Unfortunately there are no viruses and will never have.

Well, you can sustain the boring effect by choosing not to take an upgrade unless you really need it. We are almost approaching Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and I am not even using 9.10.

Conversely, No mail traffic could mean
1. We are scaring off newbies and they are scared to ask questions (Look at all the flame wars in past. :-) )
2. The Linux usage is going down! (Hiding behind a flame proof bunker)
3. All the Linux users has become smart! ;-)

Well, may be more users are asking questions on specific mailing lists about the distros or softwares of their interests, and we are not getting mails.

Seems more like 3 + hardware mfgs realising that hiding internal details from FLOSS is their loss. I am pleasantly surprised to see nvidia running driver revisions regularly and even more important, releasing new chipsets with drivers. Wifi is a bit of a pain even now, but definetly a far lesser pain especially with broadcom.
And ofcourse M$ lies have caught up with them.

And just when you think all is well with god and the world, Canonical comes up with this gem - replace GIMP with Fprot.
Gimp is a FLOSS showpiece. Fprot has Mono deps and irrespective of other merits (which are zero at the moment) should never be used.
So for the 10.xx releases it will be bye bye ubuntu unless uninstalling mono and thugs is a simple process.
Let us not change the nature of this thread.

Yes. Once I was scared of it, now it's my favorite especially as my system is getting older and the new Kubuntus getting heavier.
