Dear ILUG-BOM,
I am having very critical probkem regarding Nagios Network Monitoring Tool. As I installed nagios in Redhat Linux AS4 through RPM and i dont know what to do after that, I think i have to do Some changes in configuration file eg-
/usr/local/nagios/etc/hosts.cfg
/usr/local/nagios/etc/hostgroup.cfg
/usr/local/nagios/etc/services.cfg
/usr/local/nagios/etc/servicegroup.cfg
/usr/local/nagios/etc/contacts.cfg
/usr/local/nagios/etc/contactsgroup.cfg
/usr/local/nagios/etc/timeperiod.cfg
I am not very champ in linux so please help me out.

You have to do many changes in the config files based on your requirements. read the nagios docs at nagios.org. not to difficult.
I am not very champ in linux so please help me out.

1) Make a list of features you want to implement. 2) Read the manual and figure out what onfiguration will allow you to implement those features 3) If you face any problem in configuring nagios after reading the manual, please post to ist with exact problem defination, config files and logs (if available)
