Hi Guys,
I've downloaded the tar.gz of Open Office 1.1.2 from the openoffice.org website... However, I'm not able to get it start really quickly.
I noticed that the Open Office that comes bundled along with Debian (deb) came another separate package called 'oooqs-kde' package... Here is the result from 'apt-cache search openoffice'
=================================================== oooqs-kde - OpenOffice.org QuickStarter applet for KDE ooqstart-gnome - OpenOffice.org QuickStarter applet for GNOME 2 openoffice.org - high-quality office productivity suite ===================================================
Any ideas if I can get this utility on my system to be used with the TAR.GZ version of Open Office I downloaded?
I use Knoppix 3.2 (Debian)
Regards
Rishi

Here is what I found ... it looks like it's available for GNOME as a separate package but can't seem to locate one for KDE.
