In a way, I agree with Kenneth about the disadvantages of convincing fellow journos abt the benefits of open source. Most still confuse high price with quality. But then the open source community is quite insular and has never really tried to reach out to the larger public. I hope I am able to make a small difference.
Hopefully colleagues in the desk who work daily on Quark Express and Photoshop see the benefits of open source and convince cost-conscious managements to make a switch.
