Of course all of these will have some problem (like making u answer questions about ports - I never could figure out what a dock has to do with networks). The best solution ofcourse is a brick and mortar firewall a la Mughal-E-Azam. Don't forget to cut the dsl/modem/ll cable.

Please read the tutorials and try them out and then if u land up with problems then there are people who will help u out. But don't expect a ready made script.Use the readymade tutorials

Oh but there are a whole lot of readymade scripts. For the risk averse Hire help. Or buy a firewall appliance. Or sign up an AMC. The nice part is u can point fingers. Ofcourse a competent manager will start wondering why are u there in the first place.
