hi I use an isp who charges me by the mb.I am charged for the data received even though i lift the data from his proxy cache and not use his bandwidth. so i plan to set up my own squid proxy. the problem is my net access is blocked except through my ISP's proxy port(squid port 3128) I get 2 IP addresses one statically configured for eth0 and the other dyanamic for ppp0. so is there any way my squid would receieve data from his squid and my browser would receive data from my squid on my static eth0 address .Ihave never setup squid so can anyone help me out?

Well, your mail makes it look more complicated than it really is, I guess.
Make your squid use your ISP's squid as 'parent'. Make your browser use your squid as its proxy.
That should do it.
Now, you can be more specific in your doubts.
