Hi, Friends! I have a dual boot operating system which boots in Mandrake ver 9.1 Linux as a default if i do not select Window option. Linux is demanding to a local host user name and a password, i have forgotten these . What step i have to take ? I am absolute beginner. Enter single user mode and change your password by typing "passwd". To enter single user mode, on your grub screen, press "a", then space and then "1".
If you're using LILO, press ctrl-x and type "linux single".
And pray that you don't have a bootloader password :-)
